Conservation Programs

Our Program Areas

Sarvin’s conservation work is organized around three connected program areas: protecting wildlife, advancing nature-based solutions, and strengthening the role of local communities in conservation. Together, these programs reflect a field-based approach to sustaining wildlife, restoring ecological function, and supporting coexistence in Iran’s most vulnerable landscapes.

Our programs are designed to respond to the ecological realities of Iran while recognizing that effective conservation depends on both healthy landscapes and strong local engagement.

Protecting Iran’s Wildlife

We work to protect threatened wildlife through practical field interventions, habitat protection, monitoring, and cooperation with those responsible for safeguarding key species and ecosystems. This program focuses on the urgent needs of wildlife populations whose survival depends on timely, sustained action.

Nature-based Solutions

We use restoration-centered, place-based approaches to recover ecological function in degraded landscapes. This includes work on vegetation recovery, water-centered restoration, and practical interventions that improve resilience for both biodiversity and local communities.

Empowering Communities

We work with local communities and rangers to strengthen conservation from the ground up. Through participation, knowledge-sharing, and practical opportunities linked to conservation, this program supports long-term stewardship of wildlife and natural resources.

How These Programs Work Together

At Sarvin, these programs are not separate tracks. Wildlife protection depends on healthier habitats, and lasting restoration depends on the trust, participation, and knowledge of the people who live and work in these landscapes. By connecting species conservation, ecological recovery, and community engagement, we aim to support more durable conservation outcomes in Iran.
